Hillary Clinton

Trump start to 2020

In an event designated as the official start of his 2020 re-election campaign, Trump gave the largely old white crowd usual whining they have come to know by heart. Call it the fast food of political exegesis.

So similar was it to his usual pity party of complaints, whining and woe-is-me drivel that it was hard to see why he should have given this event its elevated designation. He mentioned Hillary more than he did the combined 2020 Democratic field. And he offered no new thinking on the road forward.

MSNBC aired none of the event and CNN cut away as soon as rum started attacking them and the rest of the ‘fake media’. This riled up Howard Kurtz of Fox News. Of their failure to carry Trump whinge fest in its entirety he offered: “What I have to say about this is it’s a lack of class.”

Nice try, but everyone knows the lack of class was on stage speaking. (Credit: Mediaite)

Harvey Abused Women. Hillary Didn’t.

October 12, 2017

Hillary Clinton has become a villain to some in the Harvey Weinstein affair. But the media types, and others who ought to know […]

Trump, Russia, Flynn, Comey, Pence & the 2018 Election.

May 16, 2017

Trump defends his blabbing state secrets to the Russians by saying he has the right to say what he said. Which is to miss the point. Just because you have the right doesn’t mean you should. The Westboro Baptist Church has the right to say what they say. Predictably, Fox News is doing yeoman’s work […]

Trump’s Victory: A Case Study in Fear.

December 26, 2016

Trump’s win gobsmacked liberals, the media, and no doubt some conservatives. It defied logic. How could people of faith support of a man of no faith – or even moral worth?  How could workers vote for a man who has consistently shafted the little guy? His ascension was propelled by a claim of business smarts despite a […]

Democrats Need to Include Working Whites in their Plans.

December 25, 2016

The Democrats have a reputation for taking people for granted. Minorities complain that Democrats take them for granted and are only interested in minority issues come election time – while white working class workers feel liberals pay attention to them. It is this perceived casual attitude that has turned their erstwhile working class base against Democrats. […]
